Simple It’s the simple things in life Mostly going past your head Ah! Simple As simple as a quite Complicated calculation Nothing really adds up Nothing really adds up Simple Now want to know it all I don’t want to compromise Ah! Simple The numbers in my head Ready for the great division Came to me in a vision I saw it in a mirror in my prison Let someone else do the walking Let someone else do the work Let someone else do the talking Simple It’s the simple things in life Mostly going past your head Ah! Simple As simple as a quite Complicated calculation Nothing really adds up Nothing really adds up Let someone else do the walking Let someone else do the work Let someone else do the talking Let someone else do the walking Let someone else do the work Let someone else do the walking

Once or twice we’ve been around this block Chasing what we thought was perfect What was never worth it Who let who down? Once or twice we’ve been around this block Chasing the tail of a neverending Animal pretenting Everybody knows me better Better than you Who? Was it real Was it not Was it a pit stop Until you decided Now everybody knows me better Better than you Who? It’s coming out, coming out of its shell It’s a hell of an animal It wants fear, it wants rain It’s funny it wants us to be the same It’s coming out, coming out, coming out, coming out, coming out It’s coming out, coming out of its shell It’s a hell of an animal It wants fear, it wants rain It’s funny it wants us to be the same It’s coming out, coming out, coming out, coming out, coming out, coming out And I’ll let it go I want to let it go

Go ahead and run, boy, run Isn’t this a wake-up call Go ahead and run, boy, run Find another way to go Not even a second thought It’s in your blood Old, same, new, old You know It’s the place where you belong Not even a second thought It’s in your blood Go insane Go rogue You know Go ahead and run, boy, run Isn’t this a wake-up call Go ahead and run, boy, run Find another way to go There’s no such thing as easy When it comes to the fight When it comes to the flight Or you could just freeze Run Go ahead and run, boy, run Isn’t this a wake-up call Go ahead and run, boy, run Find another way to go

Well the truth is I’m just tired It’s the noise Turn it all the way down When I go I’ll see it In the rearview mirror When I go You know that I’ll be alright You know that I’ll be just fine But the truth is I’m still very much scared Knowing this drive Doesn’t have an end When I go I’ll see it In the rearview mirror When I go You know that we’ll be just fine

All of the worlds You could imagine Apart from this one Go back to One occurrence It won’t occurr again until All of the worlds You could imagine Apart from this one Go back to How they were Before somebody tore them down and watched them burn

about

Through five fresh, daring new songs nestled on her newest EP Immersia, Romania's rising indie-pop star Lucia re-affirms her songwriting prowess, all the while diving deeper into the experimental side she was only hinting at on her previous record Samsara.

Each song has its own sonic identity, with carefully crafted layers and a lot of heart poured into through Lucia's airy, fragile vocals. "Simple", the opener, is a quirky, bass-heavy tune, revolving around keyboards and a catchy verse section. "Who" is upbeat and electronica-infused, the closest to a "mainstream" synthpop sound but never straying too far from the alt-indie aesthetic of the whole. "Rogue" would work quite well on alternative radio, with a powerful, no-nonsense chorus and memorable lyrics.

Of course, Lucia has been saving the best for last - the two final songs from the EP encapsulating a wistful glance to the past and a daring look forward. "Backseat" captivates through the interplay of keyboards and vocals recalling the raw quality of her debut "Silence", while "All of the Worlds" is unapologetically experimental, with instruments playing sounds that they shouldn't (an acoustic guitar used as a double bass, for example), pounding percussion work and glitched-out synth craziness.
